TIP, Inc. (Turn in Poachers) is a non-profit, privatley-funded, 501 (c)3, organization,dedicated to curbing the illegal harvest of game and fish in Minnesota. In 1981, TIP was formed by a group of concerned citizens and conservationists.

Since 1981, TIP has facilited the arrest of over 4,500 poachers, and has distributed $255,995 in rewards for information leading to an arrest. Approximately 70% of informants decline the reward, saying that stopping the poacher is reward enough.

Tips are received through a 24-hour phone line which is answered at the Dept. of Natural Resources, Enforcement Division and Minnesota State Patrol Dispatchers.
